Ahh, yes – Black Friday is coming up quickly, folks. The one day of year when people fight their tryptophan and liquor-induced comas to begrudgingly drag their feet thru malls and stores, searching for shit that they should have gotten before the mad rush. Alas, that’s life.
Black Friday is also the date of the drop of the long awaited Jordan 4 Black Cement – the darker brother of the highly successful (and quickly gone from stock) Jordan 4 White Cement, which dropped February 18th of this year.
Originally released back in 1989, when Mike was killing the NBA, crushing the Cavs AND Craig Ehlo’s public image forever, Jordan released the Cavs 4 in memory of Ehlo on May 12, followed soon by the Miltary Blue 4 on June 9, and the White/Varsity Red 4 on August 2. Shit, that’s five pairs 4s that dropped in one calendar year. Call it the Year of the 4s (No Apple).
Sporting one of the sexier, standard colorways, this re-incarnation includes an all black upper with hits of gray and red on the midsole, Air Flight x Jumpman tongue tag, these are undeniably dope.
Per usual, these are hitting retailers in a limited release (not really limited, but soon to fly off shelves) for a cool $160, but knowing how resellers do, they’ll probably be copped off the original buyer for $225 or so. Ahh, no one likes the resale game. How to beat that? Either assign a proxy to hit the mall bright and early to cop a pair at Foot Locker or your favorite sneaker boutique, OR…brave the cold, the impending hangover, and masses of people in the same boat as you, and cop them as soon as the mall’s doors unlocked.
