Selective Perspective

I’ve been asked way too many times, by too many people, in too many tones, if I’m “THAT vain” that my main point of focus is myself in 95% of the shots they see.

My answer – “it’s not the vanity that compels me to focus on myself. It’s the idea that 15, 20 years down the road, I’ll be able to look back and feel in the moment, to relive experiences I can’t conceivably get back. If that’s considered vanity and not nostalgia, then apparently you have a selective perspective on me embracing my present and encapsulating it for my future.”
